Business services: find and compare service providers

IT, security, events, signage, photo and video: describe your need once and compare proposals from professional service providers.

  • Free, account created only when you publish
  • Verified businesses (company number checked)
  • Drawings visible to members only

A company cannot do everything in-house: IT estate, premises security, organising a seminar, signs, brochures, presentation films. These services are often one-off, sometimes recurring, and call for skills that you prefer to buy when you need them. Meaflow brings these trades together in a single category, so you can find and compare business service providers.

On Meaflow, you post a request for free describing your need, with no obligation. Suppliers read it, ask you their questions by messaging and send you priced quotes. You compare prices and terms, then choose. Meaflow is for businesses only and checks the SIRET number (French company registration number) of registered companies; it does not verify their insurance, permits, qualifications or certifications, which you should ask the supplier for directly.

Six trades make up this category, each with its own detailed page: IT and networks, security and guarding, fire safety, corporate events and catering, printing and signage and photo and video. There you will find the services, price factors, tips for writing your request and the points to watch for each trade.

Each page details the services, what drives the price and advice for making your request a success.

Events & catering

Photo & video

Product and premises photos, corporate video, drone footage

Writing a service request that can be compared

With a service, the difficulty is that the result is not an object: if each supplier interprets your need in their own way, their quotes cannot be compared. A good request therefore describes the scope, the deliverables, the location, the timetable and the level of requirement, before discussing price.

  • Context and objective: why this need, for whom, with what expected result.
  • Scope: what is included, what is not, what you do yourself.
  • Location and access: addresses, working hours, site constraints, people to contact.
  • Timetable: start date, deadlines, frequency if the service repeats.
  • Selection criteria: references requested, service level, budget or priorities.

Our specification generator can serve as a template, and the how it works page details the steps, from posting the request to choosing the supplier.

One-off or recurring contract: defining the service level

Some services are one-off: a seminar, a print campaign, a photo reportage. Others are recurring: IT maintenance, guarding, safety checks. In the latter case, quality is played out over time and the contract needs to be more precise.

For a recurring service, define a service level: working hours, response time for an incident, frequency of visits, reports, a dedicated contact. Specify the commitment period, the notice period for termination, the conditions for price review and what happens in the event of a breach. A one-off contract mainly needs a clear scope, a timetable and cancellation terms.

Starting with a limited assignment, to test the relationship before widening it, is a prudent approach. In both cases, ask for a detailed quote, line by line, so you can compare what is really included.

What to check with a service provider

Meaflow checks the SIRET number of registered companies, but does not verify their insurance, permits, qualifications or certifications. These checks are down to you, before you confirm your choice.

  • Insurance: professional liability insurance certificate and, depending on the trade, additional cover. Check that it is up to date and covers the activity concerned.
  • Permits and qualifications: some activities are regulated, such as private security, fire safety or drone filming. Ask for the corresponding certificates.
  • References: work close to your need and, if possible, a client you can contact.
  • Data protection (GDPR): if the supplier has access to your systems, your premises or personal data, have the confidentiality and security commitments set out in writing, along with each party’s role in data processing.
  • Subcontracting: ask whether part of the work is passed to a third party and who is responsible if there is a problem.

If you are a supplier, the become a supplier page explains how to receive requests.

Frequently asked questions

A question not answered here? Visit the help centre or write to us.

Is Meaflow for businesses only?

Yes. Meaflow is for companies, shops, local authorities, associations and institutions; private individuals are not accepted. When you post a service request, you act on behalf of your organisation. Meaflow checks the SIRET number of registered companies.

How much does Meaflow cost?

Meaflow costs nothing: registration and posting a request are free, and the platform takes no commission. You deal directly with the suppliers, and the price of the service is whatever you agree with them.

How do I compare the proposals I receive?

Compare line by line rather than on the total: scope, deliverables, lead times, service terms, insurance and references. The more precise your request, the more comparable the proposals. Do not hesitate to ask suppliers questions by messaging before you choose.

Does Meaflow check suppliers’ insurance and qualifications?

No. Meaflow checks the SIRET number of registered companies, but does not verify their insurance, permits, qualifications or certifications. Ask the supplier directly for these documents before confirming, especially for security, fire safety or drone work.

Can I outsource a recurring service through Meaflow?

Yes. You can describe a one-off or recurring need, such as IT maintenance or guarding. For a recurring service, specify the service level expected, the commitment period and the termination terms, so that the proposals you receive are comparable.
